For those who remember these memes, I'm doing something similar. Again, asking for the same kinds of questions, but this time, instead of hiding their identities until someone guesses or I get enough questions, I'm giving their names in advance. Which won't help because a lot of you don't know who most of them are, and none of you know all of them (I think one of you holds the top spot by knowing seven). These are all characters I RP or have RPed, or write or have written, and I think it would be good practice for me to think about how they might react in whatever situation you can toss their way. So go nuts with the questions, and find out more about them along with me.
1) Tor
2) Mina
3) Grace
4) Lucca
5) Fish
6) Joni
7) Elly
8) Vic
9) Bridget
10) Mark
One more thing: if you could, refrain from asking about characters you're already familiar with. This will be more interesting if you offer your questions blindly.

Date: 2008-11-08 09:03 am (UTC)1. Why a spear?
2. Do you sometimes regret the fact that you were made immortal?
3. (I have to avoid making out-of-continuity remarks.) About how long does it take before you get bored with staying one plane?
4. What was going through your mind when you fought Lavos?
5. What is your favorite dish?
6. Let's say that you could go to be completely normal, no ice, no white hair, no white skin. But if you did, you'd have to go to normal school and leave everyone you know. Would you do it?
7. Does being a "superhero" have it's good days for you?
8. Is there anything you would turn your back on your responsibilities to Tea for?
9. What do you want to be when you grow up? If you're already grown up, what DID you want to be before you grew up?
10. Do you believe in the supernatural? Or aliens? Or magic? Or just God in general?

Date: 2008-11-08 11:37 pm (UTC)2) Well, I'll admit the thought that I'll outlive a lot of good friends gets me in a bit of a funk from time to time... but hey, I've still got a few who'll be able to last as long as me, not to mention Z of course. ...well, I guess at some point we'll all die in a not-old-age way. But so will I. So it'll be good while it lasts.
3) "Bored"? Well, that depends heavily on the plane. Assuming it's completely dissimilar to any I've visited before, I can see myself spending 10 years or longer there; there are probably plenty of things to see and experience. Or do you mean never visiting any other plane, even briefly? In that scenario, it would probably be closer to a year.
4) Don't you dare tell the others, but I was scared out of my mind. It was HUGE, and it was treating my shots like mosquito bites. About the only thing keeping me from running was being worried what the others would think of me. Or that I might be the only thing keeping them alive. I think if anyone had gotten killed before we finished it off, I'd probably have bolted.
5) Oh, I get it, that's a joke on my name. Funny. But no, it's not fish; I'm vegetarian. And the best vegetarian food in the world comes from India. Give me a nice veggie curry on Indian rice with a side of naan and I'm a happy fellow.
6) ...EVERYone? *long moment to think about it* ...could I still call or email them? If so, yeah, maybe... if not... *finally shakes her head*
7) I do like going back to the old neighborhood every so often and beating the everloving #&$% out of some Skulls. "Hey, you, remember me?" That never gets old, even those times when they do laugh at the outfit. 'Cause you know what? Two seconds later, they ain't laughing anymore!
8) Damn, you like those "save one baby or ten adults" questions, don't you? Maybe Yuki, if she were in even more danger... she's less able to take care of herself than Tea.
9) President! I know the Isles haven't had one in a while, but they used to, and they probably will again, and I'd be really good at it, don't you think? *winning smile, offers a hand to shake* I'll have your vote, I hope?
10) All of the above. I don't know anyone who doesn't believe in the first three in this modern world, although it was God I met first.

Date: 2008-11-08 10:52 pm (UTC)What are any likely parings between the characters on the list? What characters couldn't stand to be in the same room?
Tor and Mina are a pairing. Fish and Lucca would get along in a nerdy way and would enjoy dates to the shooting range, although Fish's spirituality and Lucca's rationality might clash and ruin it for the two. Grace naturally attracts all the guys but she'd be most interested in Mark: they have a lot in common, not to mention similar personalities, and would find each other fascinating. Vic would get along well with Elly but Bridget could probably charm the pants off him if she felt like it... she may be toying with him, though.
Grace and Bridget would be an instant conflict; Bridget would be threatened by the most beautiful person in the room and Grace would be annoyed by Bridget's manipulative tendencies and shallowness. The straight-laced Mark would annoy the hell out of Bridget and Elly, and probably Vic. Joni would feel very uncomfortable talking to Grace, who she'll see as everything she's not, but if Grace shows patience with her Joni may warm up to her. She'll remain feeling threatened by the overly social Mina and Elly; Elly'll mean well, Mina will return the dislike after she gets annoyed by how timid Joni is.
All of them are on the current version of Survivor (assume 1-5 are team one and 6-10 are team two). How does this likely to play out?
I probably should have scattered them out a bit more; a lot of the teammates know each other. Nonetheless!
Mina will take charge of Team 1 quickly, and no one's likely to complain so long as she takes the advice of the others. Mark will try to do the same with Team 2 on account of being the only adult on the team, but Joni's the only one who'll listen to him. The others will form a subfaction with no official leader but for all practical purposes led by Bridget.
Given their disorganization, Team 2 will probably lose all the challenges before the merge, and will punt off Mark and Joni in that order.
Post-merge, Elly will have figured out Bridget doesn't know what she's doing and will try to side with the other team. They appreciate the warning about B and will kick her as soon as possible, which Vic will initially be distressed about but will ultimately realize was for the best. Solo, Vic'll be a powerhouse at physical immunity challenges, which will mean he'll get kicked the instant he loses a mental challenge to Grace or Lucca. Fish, without any real allies, will go around the same time.
It'll be at this point that Tor and Mina will offer to ally with Elly against their former comrades. Elly's no fool -- she knows that when it's down to three, she won't win the final challenge and will be out the door -- so she turns around and offers to side with Grace and Lucca instead. Lucca catches on, convinces Grace, and the three knock off Mina and Tor instead.
Lucca drops off the endurance challenge first; she picked a poor posture when she positioned herself and finally slips. Unfortunately, Elly underestimated Grace, who not only seems perfectly comfortable after standing for hours but also doesn't seem to be getting tired. Since it's too late for Elly to come better prepared, she finally gets too exhausted and drops off.
Grace then... picks Elly for her final opponent, admiring her effort. This doesn't benefit Elly in the slightest, as everyone prefers Grace in the final vote.

Date: 2008-11-12 06:25 am (UTC)And you must always present yourself honestly. If your cause is just, they will recognize that truth and join you. The only reason to hide your true motives is that you fear your cause is NOT just. Truth is a light, pardon the expression, and you should not fear the light.
