Portrait of the Artist as a Young Geek

Both of you: I understand that, as young men, you feel the need to improve the world, and that's good. I also understand that you can come to see injustice in it, and that's also good. But you need to remember that it is everyone's choice to follow or not follow, to agree with your path or take their own. To deny them that choice is to deny them their most basic right as a sentient.

And you must always present yourself honestly. If your cause is just, they will recognize that truth and join you. The only reason to hide your true motives is that you fear your cause is NOT just. Truth is a light, pardon the expression, and you should not fear the light.
