Rough flight?

Dylan's mom came to town today to steal his car. See, he doesn't drive it (doesn't even have a license at the moment, in fact... don't ask me to explain it, because I don't get it either) and hers evidently broke down with no signs of repair on the horizon... so she shelled out a hundred bucks to fly from San Jose to Orange County and drive his back up the scenic length of California (hour and a half coming down, about seven going back up). Weird way to handle it, and more notice would have been appreciated by all concerned, but I could see the idea behind it. Of course, since Dylan can't drive, as I mentioned, someone else had to pick up dear Mum at the airport... that wound up falling on my shoulders.
It got more fun as the day went on. She was supposed to arrive at 11:30am, but we got a call around 9 from her... her flight had been delayed and wouldn't be arriving until 2. Okay, rearrange the schedule a little and try again. Around noon, another call. The flight's now been canceled; she'll call when she figures out what flight she'll actually be on. She must have forgotten that part, because the next call comes around 6:30pm and consists of "My flight's just landed." So we finally pick her up and deliver her to Dylan's car around 7. She still planned to drive back up tonight last I checked... I'm really hoping she doesn't doze off at the wheel.
It's weird hearing about these sort of things... I've averaged two round-trip flights a year through five years of college and I can't ever remember being screwed over by the airlines. Maybe I'm just lucky?
And I'd do Caph's poll thingy, but I rarely listen to actual CDs anymore. I just buy 'em, rip the good songs off (hopefully more than half), and never touch the originals again.
