'Twas wandering around one of my usual message boards (no, not the one you're all familiar with) when I got a pop-up. Big deal; that's par for the course at this place. I kill it.

It RESPAWNS.

Close. Respawn. Close. Respawn.

It says "April Fools" at the top. Even if the bozo responsible had the day right, I'd consider this beyond obnoxious. I found out afterward that it isn't even a proper ad popup; someone admitted to putting a little JS blurb in his sig. And then he laughed at all the people complaining about it with "can't you take a joke?"

The thing links to his webcomic ("Sephen", a Keenspot comic, written by Eight). For those who happen to read webcomics, I suggest you avoid this one at all costs. He obviously doesn't have a clue what's funny and what's not. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to crash IE and get rid of the eight popups that have racked up...

Dude, that really sucks. I, like practically everyone else on the Internet, loathe those things-- particularly the ones which take up the entire screen. I also loathe people who are obnoxious on April Fool's Day. Heck, I loathe April Fool's Day in general (for crying out loud, I can take a joke, but NOT a whole day dedicated to people acting obnoxious). It ranks down there with New Year's Day, which I hate now only because Dad makes sauerkraut on that day and the smell fills up the house. (I used to hate it because it meant school was the next day, but thankfully those days have passed.)

Sephen? I saw that and I was planning on checking it out because I kinda liked Eight's Road Waffles. But from what you say...

My ideal April Fool's joke would be directed at people that hit me with ridiculous and obnoxious April Fool's jokes.

I would take a nice sharp sword and slash a nice hole in their jugular vein. As they lay dying on the floor, blood pouring from their necks and tears welling up in their eyes, I sheathe my sword, grin, and slyly announce:

"April Fool's."

And thus is the true legend of the Manslayer.

I remember Eight. He did Road Waffles, which was okay. I don't read Sephen... I did check out about two weeks' worth of strips from it, but NONE were any good.
