Check this. Fascinating, if long, piece analyzing Europe's current position on both Iraq and foreign policy in general. Pro-American and somewhat right-leaning, but not insultingly so, and the latter doesn't really show up until the last section (if you're allergic to conservativism, bail before then).

That's probably the most convincing right-wing analysis of the situation I've yet seen. Despite the fact that early on, they essentially propose that America throw out many of the values of those who inspired its creation, such as Locke, simply because it is now a strong nation.

Anyhow, you should take a look a their statement of principles page, and note the names signed. I'm not saying that the fact that many key Bush administration officials are behind the Project invalidates that essay's arguments, but one should keep in mind that the Project and the essays on the site are the intellectual work not of wholly independent thinkers, but of Bush adminstration officials and their employees.
