Typically, having to sign up for something like this sets off alarms in my head.

They just ask for a username and password. Absolutely no identifying information required, even an email address. (I'm guessing this is just so you can't bypass the mutual exchange process and send me a prank passionate love note from Betty Sue; I know which ID is Betty Sue's because I saw it in her LJ and no one else can access it.)
