Back in town after the latest 6 hour drive... My brother left behind his Siberian Orchestra CDs when he left, which made for good entertainment on the road.
Christmas gifts, from the family anyway, took the form of one of two things this year: DVDs and something really cool to watch them on. The DVDs included the Lord of the Rings Special Edition box set (from my brother), Serenity, Memento, and Batman Begins (from the same brother), the Azumanga Daioh box set (from my other brother), and The Usual Suspects and Crash (from my aunt). This probably doubled the size of my DVD collection. Then my parents and my grandmother all came together to get me a high definition flatscreen... not a large one, but still a very nice piece of equipment, and unlike my old TV, it actually still works like it's supposed to. I'm looking into having it double as a second monitor as well, but I'll need to swing by Fry's and see what the connector cables will cost me.
