The typhoon (actually pronounced taifu) hit Sunday morning, complete with thunderstorms. Which is a new experience in itself, because I'd see maybe three thunderstorms a year in California. I'm finding that a laptop has an additional advantage beyond easy transportation: if a storm hits while I'm typing up something or listening to mp3s or whatever, I can just unplug and keep right on going. Still doesn't help online, but oh well. Anyway, it lasted until late Monday (glad I shelled out for an umbrella after the last storm), and then vanished without a trace. We're back to normal hot weather now. Go fig.
I'm still sunburnt and sore, though frankly I look a hell of a lot worse than I feel. *is so glad none of you can see him at the moment; you'd all run screaming* Tae's looking equally hideous, so we've been sharing sob stories. :D But at least we can still make class. Meanwhile, Justin, who didn't even go on the Fuji climb, is bedridden with a migraine of some kind. Dunno what hit him. Hopefully he'll recover soon...
