Explain something to me.

Polls put the two candidates virtually dead even. Bush hasn't rated lower than 40% all year. That means, theoretically, there should be someone out there supporting the guy.

But everywhere I look, in every environment that isn't trying to show neutrality, it's "Bush is a moron", "Bush is a killer", "Bush is a greedy bastard", or just plain "Bush sucks". Is everyone who does support Bush scared to mention it in public, are they getting shouted down, or what?
