And then there were hachinin...
Sep. 14th, 2002 07:53 amTo my disappointment, it looks like we're losing two of our crew. Davey is bailing due to some issues going on back home that he didn't want to go into details about (and I probably wouldn't be comfortable passing on to the rest of you if he did). If things resolve themselves by October (when the next term of classes begins), he might still come back, but he somehow doubts it.
Justin, meanwhile, seems to be allergic to something around here. It gets worse when it rains, probably because the moisture tosses around whatever-it-is -- that's why he was out for nearly a week after the typhoon hit -- and with rainy season beginning, it has the potential to be utter hell for him over the next month. He's also expressed complaints about the general disorganization of the advanced intensive language course: too much shoved down his throat in too random an order. After some heavy soul-searching, he's also decided to head for home; he can still catch the beginning of classes in Irvine if he leaves ASAP.
Both will probably be leaving sometime late next week, as soon as the paperwork clears. They'll be missed...
