To my disappointment, it looks like we're losing two of our crew. Davey is bailing due to some issues going on back home that he didn't want to go into details about (and I probably wouldn't be comfortable passing on to the rest of you if he did). If things resolve themselves by October (when the next term of classes begins), he might still come back, but he somehow doubts it.

Justin, meanwhile, seems to be allergic to something around here. It gets worse when it rains, probably because the moisture tosses around whatever-it-is -- that's why he was out for nearly a week after the typhoon hit -- and with rainy season beginning, it has the potential to be utter hell for him over the next month. He's also expressed complaints about the general disorganization of the advanced intensive language course: too much shoved down his throat in too random an order. After some heavy soul-searching, he's also decided to head for home; he can still catch the beginning of classes in Irvine if he leaves ASAP.

Both will probably be leaving sometime late next week, as soon as the paperwork clears. They'll be missed...

I had agreements to talk with three separate people online last night. And I was in the middle of a casual conversation with a fourth. So naturally, the hamster powering the one TUNET server spontaneously decides to take five for the day. Still not sure whether it was a server crash or just unannounced downtime, but either way... *fumes*

Anyone who wanted to talk to me before, the ISP seems to be stable again. I've got a three day weekend, so I should be reachable at any number of times until your Monday morning, so long as it isn't the afternoon (that's the middle of the night here). Give me a time (or just a "wait for later") here, on the boards, or in email. And here's hoping that hamster's done with his beauty sleep... >_
