I have no ISP and I must scream...
May. 2nd, 2002 01:14 pmCox has been an absolute headache ever since they switched over to whatever the hell they're using now. Other users might be having better luck, but my roommates and I have an admittedly unconventional setup that the new protocols apparently don't like... the end result is that we'll sometimes get temporarily disconnected and have to reboot the cable hub. And more rarely, completely reset the IP and start over, which is a lot harder than it should be. Still, we've never had it this bad before...
We've been without a connection since Monday evening. Allen's going to take another crack at getting the settings working this afternoon, because he really needs to upload some project data that's too large to put on disk. Meanwhile, I'm taking advantage of the lab computers. Probably won't be on more than once a day, and forget about seeing me on ICQ or AIM until this blows over.
