Okay, this one deserves a new user pic.

I mailed off a copy of my reply to both the New U and to the author of the original piece. Contacting the latter probably wasn't such a bright idea, but I thought he might at least consider my side. My mistake.

He responded a few hours ago. Although he countered some of my points with varying degrees of success, his excuse for the article as a whole was "the article is an exaggeration." Yeah, and so was Ann Coulter's; that didn't stop National Review from firing her ass. Then to top that, he excused the atheist club's ads (which, as I had already informed him, included a quote from Edison declaring that all people of faith were uneducated) with "their hearts are in the right place."

I'm afraid I didn't put nearly as much effort or politeness into my second reply.
