Nostalgia-fest 2003!

Campuswide Honors Program Banquet was last night. Graduating seniors eat free, so you'd better believe I was there. :D Good food, actually. Saw a few people I hadn't had a chance to talk to in a while (such are the woes of separate majors and living off campus). So we chatted, I burnt the rest of my film roll on people I might never see again, and everyone generally enjoyed themselves.

Big complaint, though... normally we claim Emerald Bay for this (largest meeting hall on campus), but this year some other organization called it and we got stuffed into the smaller Monarch Bay. Which meant, among other things, no room for a dance floor. It's odd, since I'm not normally the type to enjoy dancing, but when you're with 200 other CHP members (read: nerds), it's a lot easily knowing that your skill level's about average.

There WAS the usual slide show at the end (hey, don't laugh; lots of good memories from the yearly events in those). Mitch always does a good job with that; hope he's picked out a good successor, because he's also out of here this year. The show always concludes with a series of photos donated by the parents of the graduates... yup, childhood photos. First without a name, then with, so you have a chance to play Guess Who. (Mom, Dad, thank you thank you THANK YOU for not sending in an embarrassing one.)
