There's gotta be an easier way to take screencaps than "Print Screen". (Either that or I'm doing something wrong, because they're coming out all fugly...) Any ideas?

How so, fugly?
Print-screen should technically give you whatever you see on a monitor.

Are you trying to take pics of movies in WMP or something? And they come out as a black screen? If so, I uh, forget how to fix that.

Nah, I know how to get around that. The problem is that they come out, well, fuzzier than they should.

As an example, take the icon I was working on last night. *points to the one he used for this post* Note the difference in sharpness between Shinobu (Nurse #1) and Haruko (Nurse #2). Or even between the screencap I used for the close-up of Kazuki (Nurse #3) and the full length shot. Guess which ones I found on a fan site somewhere, and which I screencapped off the source myself.

Hmm... I dunno.
If all else fails, I suppose shrinking them will sharpen the image... ;p

(or even play around with the "Sharpen Image" tool in Photoshop, if you have it. You can go to Edit and fade it if it's too sharp.)

But as to how to get them to come out as they should, I really dont know.
